  • In 1992, I returned to my home state of Montana, where my practice focuses on civil litigation.
  • I've tried cases before judges and juries, resolved cases in mediation and arbitration, and served as an arbitrator.
  • My clients include individuals and businesses, from sole proprietorships to multi-million dollar corporations, including truck drivers, mobile home parks and dealers, car dealers, fishermen, doctors and patients, radio stations, insurance companies, manufacturers, parents and children.
  • In more than twenty years of practice, I've handled a wide range of civil cases including auto accidents, child abuse claims, property disputes, employment and discrimination matters, insurance coverage and claims handling disputes, and all variety of personal injury and business litigation. Leslie's pic      I'm also a writer, and I enjoy working with other writers to help them make their words come alive. My short fiction has appeared in The Whitefish Review, ThugLit, Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, and Murderous Intent. My first mystery was nominated for St. Martin's Malice Domestic Contest for Best First Traditional Mystery Novel. I'm active in several writers' groups, and write regular columns on using the law in fiction for First Draft, the SinC Guppies newsletter, and InSinC, SinC National's quarterly newsletter.
